SharePoint Developer - Investment Management

This Investment Management client is looking for a SharePoint Developer / Administrator to join their Shared Technology team. This teams is responsible for designing and building solutions on the shared technology platforms including SharePoint. As well as setting the technical architecture for SharePoint and other platforms they also act as consultants to the rest of the business on how to maximise the use and the benefits available from using these platforms. SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016 plus SharePoint Online are key business systems

In this SharePoint Developer role you'll be designing, developing and supporting SharePoint solutions for application workflows (using Nintex), Wiki pages & document storage on SharePoint 2013 and on a planned migration to SharePoint 2016 and:

 

  • Providing Level 3 support for the SharePoint platform, liaising with the Application Support team on more complex incidents and problems.

  • Performing system administration tasks as necessary 

  • Working with Business Analysts and business stakeholders to analyse and document enhancements to existing SharePoint solutions, and translating these into specifications.

  • Developing enhancements and solutions using SharePoint and Nintex 

  • Reviewing and QAing work undertaken by third-party SharePoint partners and suppliers

  • Providing technical consultancy, design and implementation assistance to other projects for the integration of SharePoint with other platforms

  • Helping define the governance and maintenance processes to maintain the SharePoint environments in a good working order and ensuring optimal system performance.

 

The knowledge and experience needed are:

  • Strong experience of development and administration of SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016, with SharePoint Online experience highly desirable.

  • Ability to troubleshoot SharePoint (and Nintex) system  performance issues, and perform efficient root cause analysis.

  • Ability to develop and enhance SharePoint solutions, with a specific focus on simple, light-weight solutions, that are easy to support.

  • Very good understanding of integration capabilities and options of SharePoint with other technologies.

  • Strong understanding of ADFS and other technologies required to make SharePoint available in a SSO manner outside the corporate firewall.

  • Understanding of project management disciplines and methods, with the ability to work on several initiatives at the same time.

 

And system skills:

  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016

  • Experience with SharePoint Online, and understanding of how hybrid Online and On-premise environments work

  • Strong knowledge and experience of Nintex Workflow, and how it is configured to work with SharePoint.

  • Good understanding of how SharePoint (Online and on-premise) integrates with other Microsoft products
